Payments that fit
Australian business.
NPP, PayID, BPAY, direct debit and everyday business payments through our banking partners, plus foreign exchange and remittance when you need them.
Speak with Monfina01 / NPP
NPP payments.
Via participating banks and payment partners.
The New Payments Platform is Australia’s infrastructure for fast payments between participating bank accounts. NPP infrastructure can support payments outside ordinary banking hours, including weekends and public holidays, depending on participating institutions and your setup.
Discuss how your business can receive incoming payments and make outgoing transfers via participating institutions, and the payment information you need for reconciliation. Speed depends on the participating institutions, checks and the service configuration; an individual transaction may take longer.
Ask about NPP payments ↗02 / PAYID
PayID.
Via PayID-capable banking partners.
PayID links an eligible, easy-to-remember identifier (such as an email address, mobile number or ABN) to a bank account. It can make payment details easier to share and helps the payer check the displayed recipient name before sending.
PayID is an addressing service, not a separate bank account. Availability depends on the product/provider setup confirmed at onboarding.
Discuss receiving payments ↗03 / BPAY
BPAY.
Via BPAY-capable banking partners.
BPAY lets a payer make a bill payment using the biller’s Biller Code and Customer Reference Number. Bank cut-off times and business days affect processing, so BPAY should not be treated as an instant-settlement service.
Ask about BPAY ↗04 / DIRECT DEBIT
Direct debit.
Via a direct-debit partner.
Direct debit supports authorised payments from customer bank accounts for subscriptions and other scheduled payments where the customer has agreed. Traditional BECS direct debit follows business-day processing; it is distinct from real-time PayTo agreements.
Plan your direct debit setup ↗05 / DOMESTIC
Domestic payments.
Via Australian banking partners.
Payment connectivity refers to technology, banking and payment-provider arrangements that may facilitate payment instructions or transaction processing. It does not, by itself, mean that Monfina operates or owns the underlying payment scheme or banking infrastructure.
Build a payment approach around supplier payments, operational disbursements, customer refunds and other Australian dollar transfers. The right method depends on the use case, available setup and applicable limits.
Discuss domestic payments ↗06 / FOREIGN EXCHANGE SERVICES · MONFINA
Foreign exchange services.
Foreign exchange dealing or arranging services may be provided within the scope of the applicable AFSL/CAR authorisation. Where applicable, an identified third-party FX provider or counterparty executes or provides the underlying FX transaction. Monfina does not issue FX contracts in its own right.

MONFINA PAYMENTS · REMITTANCE
Remittance / money transfer.
A separate service from payment connectivity and foreign exchange. Remittance services are provided by Monfina Payments Pty Ltd, which is registered with AUSTRAC to provide remittance services. Separately, where Monfina Payments provides specified financial services, it does so as a Corporate Authorised Representative of Monfina Pty Ltd (AFSL 512986) within the scope of its written authorisation.
Send money from Australia, with timing and fees confirmed before you proceed.
AML/CTF and customer verification
No remittance transaction is processed until applicable customer identification, verification, compliance checks and onboarding requirements have been completed.
Customer and transaction checks may include verification against applicable sanctions, financial-crime and regulatory requirements. Transactions may be delayed, declined or subject to additional information where required by law, regulatory requirements or the applicable service provider.
Monfina Payments is registered with AUSTRAC to provide remittance services. Further detail: Financial Services Guide.
PAYMENTS FAQ
Payment questions.
Straight answers.
What does a payment cost?
Fees depend on the service, provider, transaction type and volume. Applicable fees and charges will be disclosed before you proceed. For foreign exchange, the applicable FX rate and any margin, fee or other charge will be disclosed in the applicable quote or transaction documentation before you proceed. Intermediary or receiving banks may deduct separate fees on some corridors; where that is likely and we can identify it in advance, we will say so before you send.
How long does an international payment take?
It depends on the corridor, the receiving bank and the cut-off times on the day. Major corridors are usually quicker; others are not. We will give you realistic timing for the route you are using rather than a headline figure. Timing is also subject to eligibility, compliance checks and the relevant service provider’s processing.
Can intermediary banks take a cut?
On some routes, yes. Intermediary banks in a payment chain can deduct their own fees, which is outside Monfina’s control and outside the pricing we quote for our arranging role. Where that is likely on your corridor, we will say so before you send where we can identify it in advance.
What happens if I enter the wrong account details?
Tell us immediately. Once funds have been sent on incorrect details, recovery depends on the receiving bank and the relevant service provider and is not guaranteed, which is why we ask you to check recipient details carefully before confirming. Remittance is arranged by Monfina Payments. Execution and settlement occur through the applicable banking or payment arrangements disclosed at onboarding.
